It's always one of the saddest days of the year when I have to harvest all of my basil before the bushes turn brown. It seems to have happened unusually early this year. I've also been packing up my 55 tomato vines (and their fruit) as well (to minimize the number of volunteers next year). My gardens are looking a little barren, so I thought it might be more cheerful to reflect on how nice the Garden looked in June, July and August.
